Letter from the Executive Director
Welcome to Juneteenth Jams!
Thank you for joining us as we celebrate another incredible season of music, creativity, and community. The first half of tonight's concert features some of our students' favorite pieces from this year, along with a few fresh selections that showcase their growth and artistry.
The second half is where things get especially exciting. Our students created original backing tracks together in GarageBand and will be performing solos and improvisations over them live. We're thrilled to feature an improvisational dancer who will bring movement and energy to these student-created works. To add another layer of creativity, tonight’s performance will also be turned into a music video and you’ll all be in it! So feel free to interact with the cameraman, Luke!
We're also excited to announce that Season 7 is officially happening! Thank you for supporting our mission and helping us create meaningful musical experiences for young artists. We hope you'll continue this journey with us—and don't forget to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to stay connected with everything happening next.

We’re not your average orchestra. At the Columbus Cultural Orchestra (CCO), we teach strings with a hip hop heartbeat, blending classical training with the music students actually love, like R&B, jazz, hip hop, and original tracks they help create.
This is music education remixed:
✅ Learn violin, viola, cello, or bass from top-tier instructors
✅ Build skills in improv, composition, and GarageBand production
✅ Perform music by Black composers and legendary artists
✅ Get paid for rehearsals, concerts, and gigs
✅ Be part of a team where every voice matters
Debut Strings is for beginners and intermediate beginners.
Columbus Cultural Orchestra is for intermediate and advanced players.
Whether your child dreams of performing, composing, or just wants a creative outlet, they’ll gain confidence, discipline, and community that lasts a lifetime.
